I currently live in District 1 — the Historic Triangle — home to Jamestown, where my ancestor Richard Littlepage arrived around 1650; Williamsburg, where John and James Littlepage enlisted in George Washington’s regiment; and Yorktown, where our independence was won."My family, like so many others, came here for the American dream. They fought to survive, they fought for freedom, and many — including my father — fought fascism and racial and religious persecution in WWII. He spoke of the horrors he witnessed when Auschwitz was liberated."Today, those same forces — fascism, racial and religious profiling, and detainment camps — are appearing here at home. The American dream is still alive, but it must be defended."Yes, the proposed redistricting moves me three miles outside the new District 8. Unlike candidates who immediately look for an easier race, my fight is here — in the part of Virginia my ancestors settled and defended."Is it legal to run while living three miles outside the new district? Absolutely. The Constitution requires only that a member of Congress live in the state they represent, a standard upheld by the Supreme Court. Many members of Congress have lived outside their district. Will I move three miles? Maybe. The district numbers may change, but my fight is here."Rob Wittman has been a silent partner to Trump’s authoritarian agenda. Lewis Ward Littlepage has spent his professional life in service to the public, working at the intersection of national security, the rule of law, and democratic governance. Over more than four decades, he has held senior leadership roles in the United States Air Force, served as a prosecutor and government attorney across multiple jurisdictions, and helped administer free and fair elections - always with a focus on accountability, constitutional integrity, and public trust.Lewis began his career in the United States Air Force, where he served in high-responsibility command-and-control and operational roles around the world. As a senior emergency actions officer in the United Kingdom and later as an operations controller at McGuire Air Force Base, he helped manage global airlift missions, including presidential support, nuclear material transport, humanitarian response, and disaster relief. His work included directing airlift operations during the Exxon Valdez oil spill, supporting earthquake relief in Armenia, and managing rapid military deployments. In Panama, he led multinational rescue coordination efforts across Central and South America, overseeing missions that saved dozens of lives and coordinating with foreign governments, embassies, and allied militaries. Throughout his Air Force service, Lewis maintained a Top Secret security clearance and was entrusted with the safety of personnel, sensitive material, and critical national missions.After leaving active military service, Lewis transitioned to the law, entering private practice in Arkansas, where he represented clients in state and federal courts in serious criminal matters and civil rights cases involving employment discrimination, disability rights, and constitutional protections. His early legal career reflected a commitment to ensuring that the justice system worked fairly for individuals facing its full power.Lewis went on to serve as a government prosecutor and senior legal advisor throughout the Pacific. As Assistant Attorney General for the Federated States of Micronesia, he prosecuted national crimes involving narcotics, customs violations, and environmental offenses, represented the national government in complex civil litigation, and worked closely with the U.S. Coast Guard and allied naval forces to enforce maritime law and protect sovereign waters from illegal fishing. He also represented Micronesia in international law-enforcement forums, gaining firsthand experience with cross-border crime and multinational cooperation.He later served as Deputy Attorney General for the U.S. Territory of Guam, where he held multiple leadership roles, including Chief of the White Collar Crimes and Public Integrity Section, Chief of the Narcotics and Firearms Division, and Head of the Misdemeanor Crimes Division. In these positions, Lewis prosecuted public corruption, financial crimes, narcotics trafficking, and firearms offenses, supervised teams of attorneys, advised law enforcement on constitutional search-and-seizure issues, and handled hundreds of cases each year. He also prepared appeals to the Guam Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and was appointed as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, reflecting the trust placed in his judgment and experience.Lewis later returned to private practice in Guam, representing individuals and businesses in criminal defense, bankruptcy, immigration proceedings, civil litigation, and appellate cases, including matters before the Guam Supreme Court and U.S. District Court. He also managed a legal office and supervised professional staff, bringing administrative and operational leadership to his practice.From 2009 to 2022, Lewis served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Maui County, Hawaii, where he prosecuted felony cases involving fraud, white-collar crime, narcotics, domestic violence, elder abuse, and financial exploitation. He reviewed felony charging decisions, worked closely with police investigators, litigated cases through trial, and presented matters to grand juries. In addition to his courtroom work, Lewis trained police officers, spoke publicly on fraud and elder abuse, and successfully recommended changes to Hawaii law to strengthen protections for vulnerable populations. He also served as a director of the Hawaii Bar Association’s Government Lawyers Section.In recent years, Lewis has continued his public service as Chairman of the Poquoson Electoral Board in Virginia. In that role, he helps oversee every aspect of local elections, including ballot security, voting equipment certification, officer training, interagency coordination, post-election canvassing, and compliance with election law and the Freedom of Information Act. His work ensures that elections are conducted fairly, accurately, and transparently - strengthening public confidence in democracy itself.Across military service, legal practice, prosecution, and election administration, Lewis Ward Littlepage’s work history reflects a lifelong commitment to lawful authority, ethical leadership, and service above self. His career has been defined not by titles, but by responsibility - and by a belief that public power must always be exercised with discipline, fairness, and respect for the Constitution.

Lewis Littlepage is running for Congress because too many politicians talk, too few listen, and working families keep paying the price. He believes we can have secure borders and still respect the Constitution and basic human rights. America deserves an immigration system that is lawful, orderly, and fair — one that keeps communities safe without violating civil liberties or ignoring due process. For millions of Americans, Social Security is the difference between stability and poverty. It’s not just a program; it’s a lifeline.And despite all the fear mongering, Social Security is not “going broke.” The truth is simple: the program can be fully funded through 2075 if billionaires pay the same share as everyone else. Working people already do their part. It’s time the wealthiest Americans do theirs.We should be protecting Social Security, not raiding it. Our seniors kept their promise to this country. Now it’s our turn to keep our promise to them.

When America’s Declaration of Independence proclaimed that “all men are created equal,” it made a powerful promise — but it did not fulfill it. For generations, that promise excluded women and many others. Virginians know this history well. Our Commonwealth stood at the heart of America’s founding ideals, and we continue to live with the consequences of its unfinished work.The Equal Rights Amendment was written to finally make equality real — not symbolic, not conditional, and not left to interpretation. It states clearly and permanently that a person’s rights may not be denied on the basis of sex, color, or religion. No loopholes. No fine print. No waiting for courts to guess what equality means.Virginia did its part. In 2020, our Commonwealth became the 38th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, helping to meet the constitutional requirement for adoption. Virginia stood for fairness, dignity, and equal treatment under the law.Yet despite that clear mandate, Congress has failed to act.Some in Washington continue to argue that equality should be conditional — that women, people of color, immigrants, or others do not deserve the same protections under the Constitution. By blocking the ERA, they undermine the very principle our nation was founded upon: equality.History shows us that amendments are not bound by artificial timelines. The 27th Amendment took more than 200 years to be ratified and was ultimately recognized because the will of the people endured. The Equal Rights Amendment has met the same constitutional standard. The people have spoken.Now it is time for Congress to listen.The Declaration of Independence begins with one of America’s most enduring truths: that all are created equal. Passing the Equal Rights Amendment would not change our values — it would complete them.I will bring the Equal Rights Amendment before Congress again. I will fight efforts that silence states and citizens.

Medicaid has been cut for millions of Americans, leaving them without care.Medicare is under attack. Some politicians want to replace Medicare with a voucher scheme — and we need to call that what it is: a cut. Vouchers force seniors to pay more out of pocket. They raise premiums. They raise deductibles. They drain retirement savings. And they leave older Americans with worse care at the exact moment they need better care. Not only that, but if seniors are forced to use vouchers they will no longer have a choice of medical facilities for their care - which, in some rural cases, would make it impossible for them to seek care at all.This isn’t complicated. We should be strengthening Medicare, not weakening it. We should restore Medicaid to those who need it. And we should be putting seniors ahead of billionaires, every single time.VETERANS HEALTHCAREAs a veteran, this issue is personal to me.Virginia is home to thousands of veterans, yet in the entire Commonwealth there are only three veterans hospitals and eleven community outpatient clinics - and not a single one is located in Virginia's First Congressional District.That means veterans here are driving hours just to get basic medical care. For older veterans, disabled veterans, or those struggling with PTSD, that's not just inconvenient ‑ it's a real barrier to care.&nbsp;We can do better.&nbsp;We need outpatient and mobile VA clinics that bring care to veterans where they live. Access to health care shouldn't depend on how far you can drive.&nbsp;When someone serves this country, our responsibility doesn't end when they come home. If elected, I will fight to make sure veterans in our district get the care they earned.My priorities are clear:Expand healthcare for all. No voucher system for Medicare, no cuts to Medicaid that kick people off and threaten closure of rural hospitals and nursing homes. And expansion of mobile clinics for veterans.

I will move to reform immigration law. I will fight to limit ICE to convicted felons, and stop community sweeps. Undocumented individuals identified by ICE should be given an Immigration Court date.I do believe in enforcing our immigration laws — but I also believe in enforcing the Constitution.The Fourth Amendment is clear: the government shall not enter someone’s home without a warrant signed by a judge. That protection exists to keep any agency from becoming judge, jury, and enforcer all at once.Right now, there are serious questions about ICE using internal paperwork instead of judicial warrants to enter homes. That should concern every American — not because of politics, but because of principle.We can have secure borders, lawful enforcement, and constitutional rights at the same time. That’s not radical. That’s American.And that’s the standard I’ll hold the federal government to.

Our immigration laws are 40 years old and they do need to be revised. That doesn't mean the government should be sweeping communities, illegally entering citizens' homes, or executing citizens on the streets.
